Published: March 15, 2000 The value of Internet communication for issues related to conservation ecology will soon take a quantum leap with the BIOMEDNET introduction of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility, an interactive, dynamic, real-time database with locality and life history information on ALL of the world's catalogued species of animals, plants, and microorganisms.
